Jennifer Keane, BSc Multimedia Programming and Design
Graduating in 2008 with a first class honours degree in Multimedia Programming and Design, Jennifer has substantial media industry experience; from managing her own multimedia production company and working with industry leaders such as Nelvana International Animation Studios and Pixel Soup in the Digital Hub in Dublin. Projects include working as Project Manager on media productions for the United Arab Emirates government and e-learning projects for the BBC.
In June 2009, Jennifer was awarded a place on the Limerick Enterprise Acceleration Programme (LEAP) based in the Enterprise Acceleration Centre, Limerick in support of the establishment of my own multimedia production studio, Module Media.
The LEAP programme provides integrated business supports focused on strategic planning and practical business set-up in the form of management training, business coaching and mentoring. The training sessions include Sales and Marketing techniques, Project Management, Corporate Governance, Finance, HR and Intellectual Property. These supports have worked to challenge and guide Jennifer in building a sustainable, profitable business with export potential.
Skills
Web Design + Development
Building innovative web solutions for the last 4 years, my web design and development experience extends to XHTML with JavaScript and CSS, Adobe Flash with ActionScript 3.0, J2EE, J2ME, PHP, XML and Content Management Systems (CMS) - WordPress and Drupal.
Video Production + Editing
Video production experience includes the development of educational modules for web and mobile, promos and corporate film productions. I have been involved in each stage of the process from storyboarding through to post-production editing using tools such as Adobe Premier Pro, AfterEffects and Soundbooth.
Graphic Design
Graphic design services include the development of Corporate Identity and product branding, company stationary such as business cards, letterheads, and powerpoint presentations and the design of promotional materials such as brochures and banner stands.
SEO + Web Marketing
Through the use of keywords, link building and content review, I aim improve the volume and quality of traffic to a website from search engines. I have also devised many successful marketing campaignes using tools such as Google Adwords and Analyitics.
3D + Flash Animation
I was introduced to the world of animation through my work with Nelvana Animation Studios. Later, I became more involved in 3D modeling and animation using 3D Studio Max and now specialise in Flash animations with advanced ActionScripting.
Software GUI Design
I have worked with many Irish software engineers to improve the usability of their software products. Primarlly developed in Flash with ActionScript and XHTML with CSS and JavaScript, such software companies include ManageC02, Emutex, Staff Balance and CG Controlls.
